I have an old Radio Electronics or Popular Electronics magazine with an
article on tape recording ghost voices, with a lot of different circuits to
facilitate this. One of these was a noise generator using a germanium
transistor - a circuit the likes of which I have never seen. When I get
around to it, I'll scan it and post it to my synth page (which isn't really
up anyway)

It caught my eye because apparantly the noise it generates isn't like white
or pink noise - there's a lot of crackling and sputtering, which I think is
a very useful synth sound.

Speaking of that, I've always wanted a circuit that would realistically
replicate the sound of water over a waterfall and another one for the
bubbling and gurgling of a babbling brook.

cheers,
aa
