In the 303, 606 and 808 the CPUs poll the clock input every 2ms to see if it
has gone high.
Later Roland devices are edge triggered on the rising edge.
The TR909 uses 48ppqn internally, but it doubles the incoming DIN clock rate
internally rather than using the trailing edge of the clock pulse.
