Charles Rodgers of CFR/Digisyn/Tau was an interesting designer-synthesizer
entrepreneur who few seem to know or remember.

I always thought his designs were designed to exploit the availability of
those components he could acquire with the best possible spec and lowest
possible cost.  The CFR/TAU ladder VCF was probably designed to exploit his
current stock of PNP's.  As i recall it was one of his simplest kits just
board and parts.

I visited his shop twice back in the day, both times after he took over
doing the support for ARIES synthesizers.  He would buy chips and
transistors in bulk and select 'em for the CFR kit's he vended.  I think the
CFR Technotes make a fine companion to any collection of ElectroNotes.
