If you're new to electronics and want to start making some noise, I'd
personally recommend you put together a modular system. It sounds like
you've already got a few modules, so why not simply continue to build
on that system? The nice thing about a modular is that it can be as
big or small as your time and budget allow, whereas a single large
project like a clone of an entire synth demands a fair amount of
commitment (if you want to finish it). There are literally hundreds of
schematics, parts and kits for modules out there, so you'll have a
very wide range of things to choose from.
