[sdiy] Ideal project for a cloning newbie?

Hi rdrake,
Well I'm not terribly concerned with making exacting replicas of the
original gear. I've seen some clones out there where they go as far as
cloning the original case and look of the device ... I'm not really
concerned with that at all. If I can come pretty close to the original
sound that's great, but the ultimate goal is learning some about
electronics and making some nice and possibly unique instruments for
myself to play, so yes I'm open to mixing and matching designs as well.
