Anode voltage will slowly build up as the rectifier tube is heating up -
will prevent cathode stripping of the amplifier tubes while they are still
cold. Or so I've been told - I have no experience with this.
Also, tube rectifiers are said to create less HF radiation than the current
spikes from silicon diodes' reverse recovery effect.
Again, I have no experience here, but it sounds reasonable to me.
