Just a quick reply, as I'm occupied with packing Triple Chorus boards in my
spare time till I fall asleep :)
There's a lot of ways to implement a parametric EQ, some with less demand on
the potentiometers, no doubt.
But I want to go for the circuit topology of that (epired) Moog patent.
And it will work. :)

well actually my question, which i should have phrased better, was
"why does it have to be a dual pot?"
additionally my naive mind thought that there might be more audio
possibilities if the two pots were *not* linked in any way.
(the circuit could then blow up for all i know about it..)
