[sdiy] Cutting PCBs

Can I repeat what I said - the Xacto razor saw. I have had to cut exactly
the same PCB.
The problem is that there is very little cutting clearence, and the board is
a high density surface mount one, with fine tracks; a crack would write it
off. This is not a board for beginners - I'm an experienced professional
electronics engineer, though with little surface mount experience, and I
found it testing.
The razor saw is cheap enough for the blade to be disposable, also, because
it's made like a small tenon saw, it is easier to maintain control and get a
straight cut.
If you've never cut a board before, I agree with another poster - get a
scrap board or two and practise - you won't have a second chance with the
AVRx board. A Mitre saw, with a fine tooth blade is another possibility.
Blades are cheap: at 32 euro, the AVRx board is not!
Here is a supplier in the US -

I also build stage props and have some toolroom experience and I wouldn't go
near this cutting job with a power tool!
