All,

Hello again, I thought it was time I joined up again.

Firstly let's dispel some of the rumours I've seen floating around the
net.....

 1) Modulus.synth.net redirects to my new site - http://www.vacoloco.net

 2) The new site isn't *just* about my website design work, take a peek,
you'll see there's a lot more going on there.

 3) I'm still building synths (http://www.vacoloco.net/synths/ and in
particular http://www.vacoloco.net/synths/defender/)

 4) It is true however, that I shall no longer be building them
commercially. I've been mucked around and screwed over by three large
companies, who shall remain nameless, over my designs and had promise after
promise of help commercialising them amount to nothing.
I also want to add *Anything* I do in the realm of Synth-DIY now will
become open source (most likely FLOSS) once it's completed, or near
completed. This includes schematics, PCB files and source code.

 5) Making music in my new band called Ten Fifty (http://www.Tenfifty.co.uk
, http://www.overplay.com/TenFifty , http://www.myspace.com/TenFifty) has
become a very high priority for me. To a certain extent my synth building is
taking a back seat to this.

 6) Neil and I have started talking about SynthDIY-UK 2008. Just touching
base to see what's what, so nothing official and no dates yet. We'll post
more when we've got more.

 7) I'm older (I'm a granddad now) and wiser than when I left SDIY, I'm a
little more chilled about stuff and I promise not to loose my cool, if you
annoy me, I'll just block your posts and I expect you to do the same to me.
no more flame wars I promise.

 8) One final thing, I still love PPGs, Digital synths and I still want a
memory moog :-)

For up to the minute information and general waffling you can check my blog
and grab the RSS feed (if you have an RSS aggregator) here -
http://blog.vacoloco.net

Anyway, now I've got that little lot out of my system Let the party resume.

TTFN
Paul
