[sdiy] Repl. parts history...the "W" I asked about some time ago

I just got another bucket of old parts in here. A lot of TV stuff (what
is an EGC1059? A TO3 with 14 pins! Wow. That one's a great showpiece
if nothing else.) And some old Ge transistors and stuff. I have a
pretty good sized EGC/NTE collection now. DOES ANYONE KNOW what the
legalities are for moving these parts when you aren't an authorized
distributor? It's strange I see absolutely NO hits for a lot of these
parts and it makes me wonder. Seemed NTE was fairly controlling of their
rights or something years back.
There were a lot of a couple companies I hadn't seen packaging for:
One was the "W" I'd seen on a lot of the parts I got from the previous
buyout where the guy bagged everything. "Elmira" is the other one or
"ELM" as they prefix their numbers; another NTE system replacement part.
The "W" is "World Wide Component Distributors". Also I see, on the only
google hit...New Jersey Semi-conductor Distribtors. They also use the
NTE numbering. I had omoyos;;u seen a few parts blow and wondered if
they were just some kind of weird remark that wasn't up to snuff but
haven't had problems other times I've tried them so I started using them
again.
