This is sort of on topic.. about washing electronics.
My computer motherboard stopped working. Would just beep at me when I
tried to turn it on. The thing was covered in dust, and was still dirty
after the usual air duster cleaning.
I figured I didn't have anything to loose, so I took the MB out, took
off the CPU and memory, then dunked the MB in a bucket of distilled
water and scrubbed it w/ a toothbrush. I let it dry overnight, hooked
it all back up, and everything worked!
I've also cleaned keyboards in the dishwasher. Just make sure its dry
before you use it again.

There ya go. If whatever was spilled in there was water based to begin
with,
good ol' soap an' water is gonna get it clean the best. I'd just toss it
in
the sink and wash it with dish soap and a toothbrush.....then put it
outside
in the sun to dry.
