[sdiy] Sound kits suitable for a 12 year old?

Hi All,

I need to find a small sound generator kit. A bare board would be ok,
but I'd prefer a kit.  Ray wilson's WSG board would be perfect if it
were available today. Are there any other fun projects that are one
notch above trivial that are immediately available in kit form?  It
didn't seem like paia had anything. My schedule is such that I need
these in my hand by monday or tuesday of next week. That rules out
anything that has to travel a long distance (to CA).
