[sdiy] Rusting Probem

Hi Guys. I have a friend that plays music on a cruise ship. Everytiime he 
comes back from a cruise, I service his gear. The power jacks on his pedals 
rust everytime he goes out ( the salt and humidity). I clean them and 
occassionally replace them. Have any of you experienced the same rusting 
issues? Any products out there or good quality connectors that will at least 
slow this dow? I am replacing the power jack on his Yamaha pedal for the 2nd 
time in a year and a half. Any thoughts?
