Stranded. I had to cut away about half of the bare wire to get it to
fit into the PCB holes, and I probably weakened some of the wire I
left when cutting some away with the stripper. However, when the
power cable flexes, the flexing happens solely at the point where the
power cables meet the PCB since that's the wire's most flexible point
being that there's no insulation there.

I guess I don't completely understand how this would work. Wouldn't
the wire still have its weakest and most flexible point right where
the wire joined the pin and thus be prone to breaking there? Maybe
I'm missing something obvious in my newbie ness.

Thanks for your patience and your kind assistance.
