[sdiy] Newbie power connector problem

Hi All...

Sorry in advance for the newbie question.

I've been building some modules lately which don't have a spot for a .
156" connector. So, I've been simply soldering the power leads
directly to the board. This works o.k., but even with great care,
with slight flexing, the cables snap. So... I'm looking for a better
way to connect power. To be specific, I'm building boards by Mr. Ray
Wilson, and Mr. Tom Gamble, and a couple of other designers. The
boards by Mr. Gamble were designed to accommodate a .156" connector,
but the mounting holes are off by just enough that a .156" connector
won't fit, regardless of how much 'persuading' it receives. The
boards by Mr. Wilson were not designed to accept .156" connectors. I
don't fault either designer, I'm just looking for some advice about
how I can improve my construction methods.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Sam E.
