[sdiy] Pt6608 and Pt6607 LCD Driver Ics?

Im afraid its not exactly synth, but im having some problems with another piece of sound equipment, and figured it may well be
likely that someone here may have had experience of these chips?

Im having lines die on the LCD screen.  Initially just one, but now more and more (pretty rapid mortality rate), and its starting to
get hard to read whats going on.

Any takers?  ; )
