First off - pardon the cross posting.

Nothing against Bill or any other members, but I would avoid Armor All
stuff like the plague. The problem with Armor All is that it initially
leaves a very nice shine, but when it dries out it leaves several
nasty chemicals behind. If you talk to guys who restore cars (note:
guys who REALLY make a living restoring expensive vintage cars, not
the tuner post-tween down the street who thinks an SUV on chrome 24s
is da bomb), they'll use polishing compound and wax on metal and
painted metal, and silicone spray for rubber and plastic. Armor All
isn't really made for hard surfaces, and although it makes plastic and
rubber look nice at first (although artifically shiny IMHO), it
eventually dries them out and leaves them in worse shape than when you
started. I don't know about Armor All waxes and what not, but again,
hardcore car nuts will use other stuff (Meguiars, Mothers).
