[sdiy] Polyphonic tonal disorder!

Something like slightly different beat rates between VCO pairs, from voice
to voice, are quite important for the "analogue-ness" of a polyphonic synth
sound.
I'm convinced that the pattern generated by the usual voice assign
alogrithms is picked up and recognizen by the unconcious, at least (and you
can recognize it if you're closely listening for that effect).
On full-polyphonic synth like the Korg PS series, the situation is more like
on acoustic and electromechanical instruments, where each key has a slightly
individual sound - a very pleasant effect as well.
The more I think about the subject, the more I am convinced that subtle
_patterns_ play as much as a part when a synth sound is recognized as
"analogue", as random effects.
