Hi,

My analog polysynths are a Korg Polysix and an Akai VX600, and I've never
noticed this "tonal disorder" to be any problem. OK, the Polysix has only a
single VCO for each voice, and the Akai has a pretty good autocalibration
feature. However, the Akai sucks at VCO-crossmod-sounds, they are completely
out of tune but they are so even in mono mode :(

Somebody recommended that if the phase of oscillators was restarted with
each note on an analog polysynth, it would minimize this "tonal disorder" -
I personally think that there might be some sounds where it might be useful,
but in most cases I think the way analog polysynths behave is just great,
and also unique to them.
