[sdiy] Front Panel Polish? `~~`

If there is no lettering you can use 
a product called "wadding polish" 
which is a petroleum distillate soaked
into cotton batting (like car seats were
once stuffed with).

It works GREAT but it will take off
paint or lacquer. It will remove light
rust spots and leave a sparkling finish
