[sdiy] Front Panel Polish? `~~`

On a couple of my own projects I've used car polish. That has shined things up and it protects the paint some. I also have gotten a number of old light fixtures from the recycling supply. Buffed them with very fine steel wool to get the corrosion and rust off and given them two, three coats of car wax and they have held up well.

I wouldn't get it on any plastic though.
