1. One trumpet player can play the same note three times, and regardless 
of how hard he tries, there's no way to get all three exactly the same.

2. Three trumpet players and play the same three note chord three times, 
and it subject to the variations in #1 times 3.

In all six cases above, it all sounds damned good (if you like trumpets 
and the players are good!)

It's those little variations that make things sound "alive". Where the 
problem?
