I'd have to disagree with you, actually. There's still a good demand
for people who can do analog design, and it's actually growing since
fewer EEs graduate with good analog design skills.
I'm an EE in the medical device industry, and while I do a fair amount
of work with DSPs and embedded systems, I still do a lot of analog
design, as well. Somebody has to gain stage and filter those ECG
signals. Somebody has to design the front end to an ADC. :-)
