Seperating them is a good idea imho, college cources are notorious for 
trying to cover too much at a time resulting in (usually) only an obtuse 
understanding / discussion / focus on any particular topic.

It might be a good idea to cover making audiophile grade power supplys 
in the course, or just a whole day on making power supplys.

Might be a way to squeeze even more s/n from VCAs and signal processing
