I saved a Sony VAIO LX1 desktop from the dumpster last year. The academic
staff at the Uni had decided that it was bust because the thing always ran
too hot and the cooling fan never switched off. I figured that moving it
away from the radiator might help. :o)

Anyway, it's at home, it works well enough to record an album. Or two. :) :)
