Quite frankly, I cannot see any reason why it would not work, though for
modules like the WAD, or that PEF with potted parts, I'd do as Cynthia
suggests and check that those hard to get chips are capable of running at
the higher voltage, or in the case of the latter, stay with +/-12V. 

CD40XX, CD45XX, MC140XX etc. CMOS chips will be fine. Op amps will be fine.
The most "delicate" of the op-amps is the MC3401 which is only rated for
+18V, but as it is only ever run across the positive supply, it wouldn't be
a problem. I'm not sure they were even used in the later versions.
