Hmm, I would have thought a non-inverting follower built around a
decent op amp would be okay. If that's not good enough, how about
throwing in a few resistors and a trimmer. The only problem here is
that you need an inverting config (worst case, you might have to tweak
the trimmer and would want a gain range of just below 1 to just above
1), so now you need two op amps. Still, a dual amp package, a trimmer
and a handful of Rs isn't too bad.
