[sdiy] Altrium Designer/Protel

[ryan williams]

i used protel dxp which i think is just the last version before
altium. I made around 10 PCB layouts with it. I thought it was really
easy to learn and use compared to other programs (orcad, eagle, kicad)
and still powerful enough to do anything i wanted and much more. But
this program is bloated as jim says. I couldn't imagine paying that
much for it even if i owned a company that needed something like that.

i've seen altium run and it looks just like protel dxp anyway.
