A is standard audio taper. B is linear.  C is reverse audio.  D is 
usually log taper and RD reverse log.  G...I think I've seen a time or 
two.  Looking up...yeah that's a custom one that ramps up early  then 
gives finer control through the remainder.Used in some overdrive pedals 
and stuff I guess. -Bob
