I just use no-clean solder.  Yeah, its not pretty but its fast and inert (
no humidity problems as with Kester 44 ). 

I suppose the Water Cleanup is what people like so much.  If I'm really
paranoid I just use fluxoff or rinse the board in good'ol
trichlorotrifluoroethane.  I suppose if I had a proper board washer I'd go
back to using Organic, but since I'm not doing milspec work ( or building
MOTM boards ), I dont see the need.  What kills me is people will spend all
sorts of time washing their boards and making the back side all pretty, and
then slap on a front panel that looks like it was machined by rabid beavers
and labeled with an old Dymo labeler...

( had to mention trichlor just to make people who know cringe ).

( actually, Dymo labels are cool.  I'm just saying people have different
priorities.  )
