Anyone used one of these?
I got one a few days ago (sans power pack, which I should be able to
ghetto up easily - 15/0/15 AC I think it wants, anyone know for sure?)
I know it isn't going to be the greatest thing in the world
obvious limitations == 2 filters for the whole 16 voices, no PWM of
any kind, appears it will sound very "organy" by way of it's additive
synthesis
apparant strengths == 16 notes of poly good for organ players, MIDI
spec seems ok, velocity keys (woot!)
Routing external signal in through filter chips seems to be an
easy/cheapo mod to do, but, I'll see if I like the filters yet (or if
it even works!)
No ring mod on the thing, either, but, well, you can't have
everything. It's got Chorus, but, you can't externally set the speed
or depth, trimmers on board.
Schematic and other infos to be found here .....
