my theory is that all the spectrols that mouser has are linear. they 
are a UK company and more flavours are available there (hence the 
oakley S&H specifying 25k linear and 100k log spectrols, which i 
can't find here).

bourns pots have also been very good to me for cheaper than spectrol. 
also since spectrol moved their mfring to mexico their quality has 
slipped a bit. mouser and digikey between them should be able to 
supply most values of lin and log in a bourns pot.

have a hunt around mouser part number --

91A1A-B24-B20

-- if you don't have a physical mouser catalog, get one. it makes 
navigation easier.

yes, 3/8" is the standard MOTM mounting hole for pots & jacks.

also the MOTM knobs are alcoswitch PKES90. nice, but not cheap - 
sometimes you can get a deal for 25+.
