The cheap 16mm Alpha pots (RV160 series I think they are) are generally
accepted as being pretty good. Sure, they are made to a price, but many
people use them without problems. A lot of Eurorack format modules
(Doepfer, Analog Solutions, etc.) use these pots.
$0.50 sounds a bit expensive though. In UK I would pay £0.38+17.5%VAT
at single quantity.
