If you have space for TWO batteries, there are a lot
more options... because simple noise generators usually
seem to be running on 12v or more..

the first section of this looks pretty simple, run it on 18v,
just try out varous transistors until you get enough noise.

just ignore all the filter section on the right.

(on the ohter hand, if you are into micros, the best thing 
for low parts count & consistency is a micro programmed 
as a pseudorandom generator)
