[sdiy] channel changer/bypass

I have taken a break from fixing my mixer because it really got me mad. Now
I am working on a simple relaxing project. A friend of mine who plays in a
country band in Ohio wants me to build him a custom overdrive pedal and I am
trying to do that with parts on hand. I have a SPST pushbutton switch that
I want to use for the footswitch on the pedal. What I would like to do is
design it so this switch can perform 3 functions, rhythm channel > lead
channel > bypass.

Does anybody have a simple design that could achieve this operation using
simple IC's like the 4066?
I have an idea of how to do it, I was thinking something like a step
sequencer but that seems like overkill.

Thanks!

M. A. Ruberto
