[sdiy] Emax SE

So I just got a pretty good deal on an Emax SE ($50). It may have a
dodgy disk drive, but other than that I'm told that it works fine. The
seller even threw in some sound disks and some old Mac-based software
sound design software. So here are the questions:

Do standard PC 3.5" floppies work in this machine?

Can a hard drive be retrofitted?

Will the old Mac software run on newer Macs (I don't have a Mac at
all, so not sure why I'm asking this)?

Am I better off just gutting this for the parts (primarily the SSM
filter chips)?

Am I better off just using this as a MIDI keyboard? (the action is not
bad. Better than my M6. Not as good as my U-20, but the U-20 has bad
contact pads so it false triggers like mad)

Am I better off sending it to a Home for Wayward Samplers?

I have an ESI-2000, so I've got a pretty good sample box, but I just
couldn't pass up this deal. TIA for all advice and opinions.
