Too bad I don't have any pics, but... Hmm. The foil of the parts that go
trough the holes must sturdy enough to hold the card there when it's
soldered... Maybe I'll contact the spare-part dude again. This time I'll
bring some desoldering wick or whatever it is called and do the removing of
the mini board properly (there's more than seventy of the mini boards
there!) Last time I only had my old worn bad desoldering pump, and with that
it was too difficult to get enough solder out so that the foil wouldn't be
ripped off when I pull the mini board out of the holes. I'm pretty sure the
wick'll do the job, it's just embarrassing to call the spare-part dude again
and say that I didn't do the thing properly last time...
A whole bunch of trouble for an old Farfisa, but this one is one of the
better ones with three groups of 8 footages, built-in phaser circuit
emulating vibrato (no real vibrato at all!), which can be switched on or off
independently for different groups, a great sound, a ganster-style
reverse-coloured keyboard (grey/white instead of black/white!) and weird but
cool cream colour! How could I resist? :)
Thanks for the tip,
Antti
