[sdiy] A little OT - C64 in a box

I have a C64 Dtv.
The schematic is on this page --> http://www.kahlin.net/daniel/dtv/colorfix.php
The sound quality is, to be honest, very tinny. That would happen with
not having filters on a digital pure waveform synth.
Most will know, but, some won't: The Commodore 64's SID Chip was
designed by Bob Yannes, who later went on to found Ensoniq.
The Ring Modulators don't work properly, either. Mostly because the
output of the three channels of sound are output to three different
pins. his doesn't allow 1-2 2-3 3-1 Ring modulation like on the real
thing.
However, that said, they are fun to play around with, and to try to
explore the hidden features. A warning on them to people in Phase
Alternating Line countries vs Never The Same Color countries -- the
ROMs are different, and a lot of the Demos on the machine appear in
the directory, but, will not run on a PAL machine.
This is completely at odds with the _real_ demoscene out there, which
is almost exclusively PAL from the demos I've seen (Dane @ Booze
Design!!!)
