Since there is a some discussion on music and techiques etc....
I went to Analogue Haven Saturday and saw Steve Roach.  I sat right in front
of his setup but still do not have a good feel for how his music is done.
Not all of his stuff was live - but he was playing live on top of it.  Much
of the stuff was looped and then he would add more things onto that -
somehow without the whole thing getting overdriven into distortion.  He had
a couple laptops running, probably several electronic delays and looping
devices...  The equipment mix was quite different from what I saw in San
Diego several years ago.  I know he uses Peter Grenader's sequencer but I
did not see it there - the sequences were in the mix though.  He kept
turning a knob on an Oberheim Expander as it was the secret live sound
mixer(?)  There were also an Emulator and Waldorf Q, along with flute,
guitar, and agave digeridoo.

Anyone have an understanding of how this is all done?
