[sdiy] slightly OT: dilemma: where to put tremolo - in amp or alone in a box?

Because I want the specific sound of power tube's distortion. The preamp
distortion on this amp is pretty minimal. When that 50L6 output tube breaks
up it sounds just like pricey highly sought after classic amps. Now if that
sound and tremolo was all I wanted, I'd stick it right there in the amp, but
I'm connecting the output to a dummy load to send it to another amp with
flangers and phasers in between. It sounds awful when you add the distortion
AFTER the flangers and such...
