I've seen (and downoaded) the magazine articles as a pdf, so it is (or
was) available. It includes schematics, pcb artwork and board layouts
for the majority of the 2720 modules. I can't remember where it came
from, but if you can't find it, I can email it to you. If has
modules 2720-1 to 2720-7, but not the later ones.
Modules available were:
2720-1 VCA
2720-2 VCO
2720-3L VCF LP
2720-3B VCF BP
2720-3H VCF HP
2720-4 Function (envelope) generator
2720-5 Control oscillator/noise
2720-6 Keyboard i/f
2720-7 PSU (& voltage source)
2720-8 Keyboard/case
2720-9 Glide mod
2720-11 Envelope follower
2720-12 Inverter/buffer
2720-14 Sine converter
There were also some mods published in Polyphony magazine,
and I vaguely recollect something for combining envelopes
into more complex ones.

No, it's a ring counter design. Much more interesting.
