[sdiy] project recomendation: tonepad's Small Clone clone (ahem...)

I breadboarded tonepad's circuit for a clone of Electro-Harmonix Small clone
a while ago. I've been playing with it for a while now with various flangers
and phasers and I have to say this pedal is absolutely suPERB!

I recommend adding a proper depth control and a switch to switch in and out
a larger timing cap. This effect is really amazing when you give it the
capability of looong delays (not too long, I think I added 50-75 pF).

At slow speeds it's really liquidy and you don't get a lot of up-down sea
sickness unless the depth is way up, but it always seems to be very musical
at almost any setting. With the speed all the way up it's the best vibrato
from a BBD based effect I ever heard. I was going to paint mine with a
little picture of a clown (get it? Small Clown - HAHAHAHAHA! But I like the
rough unmarked ruddy primered box with light blue knobs with dot pointers I
have it in.)

In fact I really don't think I'm doing the pedal justice anymore by calling
it a Small Clone clone. Only thing I'm more proud of is the guitar amp I
made from 2 octal tubes and old radio junk - sounds like a million bucks.

cheers,
anthony
