Okay, this one may seem like I'm stretching the boundries of on-topic by a
bit, but...

I'm trying to find 1" fiberglass mat.  Like the stuff you'd find inside a
speaker stapled to the back wall  ie : not the loose fiberglass like you
insulate with but the more cohesive stuff you'd see in a device as heat
shielding.

Used to be you could buy packs of it at Radioshack for just such a purpose.

No, I cant use polyester.  I can use fiberglass or perhaps asbestos although
I'd rather not...  ( see above mention of heat shielding ).

I've tried hardware stores.  I even looked at "odd" things like duct
insulation and waterheater kits, all I could find was the loose insulation
batting not the heat sheild type stuff.

Suggestions?
