Hey Jeff

> I've got a site up and I've put the Akai X7000 schematics I've got on it.

Flash from the past..! Two days ago I was walking though Soho Square with
fellow punkdISCO (Leah) and telling her about when Soho Sound House used to
be in the corner and how I purchased my first sampler on the 30/9/89 from
there. I paid £559.00 for it as they were on offer. Serial number 00229.
Obviously I don’t have a photographic memory but rather, kept the receipt
for nostalgia.

I was 19 at the time and living in High Wycombe so carrying a boxed x7000
through London and back home was not fun...

If you don’t mind me saying, it was a crap machine :) Sure, nice 12bit but
still.. I have a Emu EmaxI now for all my 12bit fun plus some filters.

On the plus side it was SOOOO sexy looking. Being 19 I was totally won over
by the fact that every music mag had a picture of Duran Duran on the back
with some monster white Akai synth (often a x7000) standing on the its side
almost like another band member and probably just as high..

It was good of you to post the schematics.. Hope you are loving the
sampler..

See you,

Paul
