Back in '82 (at the ripe ol' age of 19) wishing to be a 'rock star' (
LOL :D ), I traded my Gibson EB0 bass guitar, to another band member
for his Freeman String Symphonizer. I was SET! :D ( LOL ) I had
that; my Casio VL-1 (for bass! ;) Hahaha); my Radio Shack Color
Computer running Synther-7 software (melodies) and my Mattel Synsonics
drum machine. I was ready to become the NEXT KRAFTWERK! (Not.
Hahahaha.)
Still had the Freeman up into the late 90's when I gave it away to
another friend, due to it's extreme weight. Wish I hadn't now, as I
loved the Strings sound from that thing. :)
>From what someone else'd said earlier today - were the Freeman, the
first string machine??
Don't know if I'd take another if I managed to find another, nowadays.
I'm not sure which'd be heavier - it, or my Farfisa VIP 400. :O :O
(Though, I'm not playing out anymore - it shouldn't matter, but I'm
hoping to take the modular out to record in the forest sometime next
Summer. Will be hauling whichever machine I have (hoping to have) as
well. Weight is to be considered. :O :-D
