[sdiy] Has anyone ever cloned a, or made a, string machine?

A string ensemble? Buy an old organ off ebay and stick a chorus unit after
it. Job done, and a lot cheaper than you will build it. The technical
difference - almost none at all. Check CAG for an old construction article -
I'm pretty sure one is there.
