Tom,

How many bits deep is your wavetable (8, 16)?

If you aren't doing the full 16 bits then having a audiophile DAC won't help much. You may get a better noise floor but the quality of audio won't be noticable if you are using 8 bit tables.

Check Crystal, AKM, Analog Devices and Texas Instruments (Burr-Brown) for other DACs.
