That sounds kind of like an old Ferranti part number.  They made a  
series of nice 8-bit D/A and A/D chips during the 1980's.   
Infortunately, it's kind of hard to find datasheets for Ferrenti  
parts on the web.  You may be able to cross-reference it to an  
equvalent part from another manufacturer -- that is, another part  
that has a different part number, but the same basic function and  
same pinout.

Ferranti had part numbers such as ZN425, ZN246, ZN427, and ZN428.   
Try searching around for "Ferranti ZN422".

BTW, the Ferranti company seems to have had a rather interesting  
history which, unfortunately, ended rather badly.  Follow the
