Call me crazy, but, I use a Yamaha digital FM synth for that exact method of
tuning stuff.

Tx802 --> X
Stuff --> Y

Works well, although I disclaimer that I personally only have one thing with
a tuning scale adjustment at the moment, I'm usually just tuning my Casios
