[sdiy] Trigger circuits

Linked are 2 pages from a drum unit (<http://www.elby-designs.com/temporary/page12.pdf> and <http://www.elby-designs.com/temporary/page20.pdf>). I am wondering if anyone can confirm what type of trigger signals are required for the unit? The controller feeding in to this board is a 5V device (see page 12) and this section of the system runs from a +/-15V. If a simple description of how the circuits work (in regards to the trigger signals only) that would be appreciated.
The system has 2 basic trigger types so we only need to consider, for example, the HH and BD voice circuits.
